SCOAF is pleased to announce that Mariette Hughes will chair a session at the 14th International Conference of Ombuds Institutions for the Armed Forces in Oslo, Norway. The session will take place on the 4th of October.
This year's ICOAF brings together international Ombudspersons to examine the role of Ombuds before and during armed conflict. As SCOAF recognises the varied role of the United Kingdom's armed forces, we are excited to contribute to discussion of how Ombuds can support the right of Service personnel to access healthcare following deployment.
With SCOAF's session hearing presentations from Emmanuel Jacob, the President of EUROMIL, and Gregory Link, the Ombudsman of the Canadian Armed Forces, we are pleased to be working with our international colleagues to contribute to this crucial debate.
We would like to thank ICOAF for inviting us to their Conference, and we look forward to meeting colleagues across the Ombuds community.
We will be live tweeting the Ombudsman's session, so check out #14ICOAF for all the latest updates.
