As of 29 May, there were 31 unallocated substance and maladministration cases, this is a reduction of 4 from last month. Our office received 16 of these cases in 2019. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Army is currently experiencing difficulties in getting the Service complaint files to us, which we need to begin our investigations. We are in regular contact with the Army and hope this situation will be resolved soon. As a result, we are having to work on cases slightly out of the order we received them in.
Our undue delay and admissibility cases are not subject to any delays.
The deadlines set out in JSP831 still apply and so if you are considering making an application to SCOAF it is very important that you do so as soon as possible.
Please be aware that under government guidelines we only have very limited access to our office, so please send any correspondence to us by email if you can. The best way to contact our office is by email to our contact mailbox: contact@scoaf.org.uk.
