SCOAF were delighted to welcome Lt General James Swift, the Chief of Defence People, to our office for his final quarterly meeting with the Ombudsman.
Improving the Service Complaints system requires close work with the Ministry of Defence, so we were grateful to receive Lt Gen Swift for a productive discussion on progress made to date, areas which still require focus and further opportunities for improvements.
Lt Gen Swift will be leaving the post in mid-December, and SCOAF would like to thank him for his work in the Service Complaints space and for enabling a constructive working relationship between the MOD and the Ombudsman.
We look forward to welcoming the new Chief of Defence People to the role and working together to continue the journey towards a better complaints system for all Service personnel.
