Following Expo visit, SCOAF are more motivated than ever.

Outreach is integral to the role of the Ombudsman. In her varied role, Service visits remain her favourite part of the job as she can understand the lived experience of personnel, and work closely with them to ensure a better Service Complaints system.

That’s why last week, we were thrilled to join the Army on their Future Soldier Expo, and we got a glimpse at some of the fantastic work they are doing to prevent war in the future through Operation MOBILISE.

As we were shown the breadth of work the British Army is doing from warfighting to protecting the homeland, it brought into focus our mission and the need to deliver a better Service Complaints system for all personnel, no matter their rank, status, or role.

While viewing cutting-edge capabilities was really exciting, for us, the true highlight of the day was meeting so many great Soldiers and Officers. Indeed, we remain more motivated than ever to ensure all personnel have access to a Service Complaints system that is efficient, effective, and fair.

SCOAF thanks the Army for this opportunity, and we hope to join them on more visits in the near future.
