As of 30 March there were 27 unallocated substance and maladministration cases. This is a significant increase from last month due to a surge in applications to our office over the past few weeks. At the moment it is taking 8 months to allocate a case which is a disappointing backwards step. The process to recruit two Senior Investigators is currently ongoing.

There are no delays in processing applications for referrals, admissibility reviews or undue delay investigations.

A reminder that if you wish to make an application, SCOAF staff are working remotely and do not have access to our office to collect post. Please contact us by email at contact@scoaf.org.uk, or leave a message on our phone and a member of the Enquiries Team will call you back. Time limits for making an application are set by legislation so please contact us as soon as possible if you are thinking about making an application for a referral, review or investigation.
