As of 26 February there were 21 unallocated substance and maladministration cases, which is a slight decrease from the 24 unallocated cases at the end of December 2020. It is currently taking us 6 months to allocate these types of cases to an investigator.
We are currently recruiting to fill two Senior Investigator posts which it is hoped will help reduce our backlog further. This recruitment will take a bit of time to reach a conclusion.
There are no delays in processing applications for referrals, admissibility reviews or undue delay investigations.
